Dear Marco Island neighbors,

My husband, Howard Reed, loved Marco and believed deeply in serving others. He often encouraged Teri Sommerfeld to run for City Council because he saw her honesty, integrity and devotion to the island.

When Teri told me she was running, I thought of Howard right away, and I wished he was here to celebrate this prayer come true for the Marco Island community.

I know Howard would be grateful to see Teri step forward, and if he were with us today, he would enthusiastically endorse her and support her campaign. She cares about the people who call Marco home, and I believe she will help build a brighter future for our island.
