At the end of May, five pro-resident candidates came together for a petition signing event and a chance to meet our neighbors. I thank everyone who came, signed a petition, and got us all qualified. 

At this time, I'm announcing my withdrawal from the race. I feel all five of us have the residents' interests at heart while working to protect the charm of our small town. I am stepping aside so that I can help assure that in November we have a Council of residents for residents.

 I endorse Teri Sommerfeld as the candidate I want to represent me on City Council. 

Teri has been a friend and ally for years and I believe she is what Marco Island desperately needs. 

We have reached a crossroads where we must recognize that we have reached our maximum density and we must learn to manage the influx of visitors responsibly and care for this paradise we all call home. 

Teri has my vote; I hope she has yours too.
